I'm a Coach
Supporting athletes from all sports to achieve peak performance.
My expertise lies in physical preparation for sport. This includes all components of the training process, from conditioning, strength, power, and speed training, to testing, monitoring, and recovery strategies.
Coaching is different than training. It requires more than prescribing sets, reps, and teaching how to perform an exercise.
It's about people, education, and guiding the training process.
Coaching practice must be rooted in principles. With time and experience, I'm sure to refine this list.
- Relationships trump all and should come first.
- Coaching is synonymous with teaching - education is central to the training process.
- Training needs to accommodate for individual needs/variability, time of year, and training age.
- Focus on the aggregate of accumulated training (aka the process) - One day, one exercise, or one rep will not be the deciding factor in sports performance.
